Dave Lambert came to faith in Christ in 1971 at the age of 19 while attending a large youth gathering in Massanetta Springs, Virginia, during what is now known as the Jesus Movement. Dave and his wife Pam were married in 1974 and have two adult children. Dave has followed Christ for more than fifty years, attending and leading Bible studies and small groups.
When Dave worked as Supervisor of Engineering Inspection for Fairfax Water, Virginia‘s largest water utility, his job included project management for installation and replacement of both water supply and water treatment facilities for nearly 2M residents. He also supervised the Engineering Inspectors for capital projects by Fairfax Water, private developers, Virginia Dept. of Transportation, and Fairfax County.
In 1989, the Lamberts moved to Culpeper, Virginia, where he and his wife led youth groups, taught Sunday School, and worked with their local Habitat for Humanity, building houses for needy families. As a Vice President with Habitat, Dave chaired the Construction Committee and acted as Building Superintendent, coordinating all aspects of construction, including managing onsite work. They are currently active in their church, Reformation Lutheran, and work two days a week at the Culpeper Food Closet, serving the poor in their community. He and Pam also participate with the Piedmont Action Coalition on Hunger (PACH), a regional cooperative effort working to eliminate food insecurity in a five-county area.
He began writing his devotionals in 1999 and it continues today as the “Morning Greeting.” Dave has penned over 5,500 devotions. He daily inspires his readers to devote their hearts and minds to Christ by leaning into God's Word, by faith, for every aspect of their daily lives.
“We cannot be passive and silent towards those who reject God's Word and our holy faith.”
