Students at the Académie Théologique de la Réforme-Jacmel have successfully completed a week of class on the "Book of Revelation" with Rev. Martin Hawley, and Rev. David Bruno as translator. He also intervened via zoom since he could not physically come to Jacmel because of the insecurity phenomenon preventing traffic from Port-au-Prince to Jacmel and vice versa.
This class, which began on Monday, July 29 and ended on Friday, August 2, was delivered in 8 consecutive lessons. The goal of this course was to allow the students of the Academy to develop their knowledge of the Scriptures, to deepen their understanding of Johannine literature and to be able to acquire a thorough understanding of the book of Revelation.
“Prayer is an earnest and familiar talking with God, to whom we declare all our miseries, whose support and help we implore and desire in our adversities, and whom we laud and praise for our benefits received. So that prayer contains the exposition of our sorrows, the desire of God's defense, and the praising of His magnificent name, as the Psalms of David clearly do teach.”
