2024 marks almost 12 years of ministry for Teaching Missions International. In our first year, we sent one professor to teach two courses in Haiti. This year, we sent 19 professors (four new) to teach 46 courses in 17 countries on three continents. The Lord has richly blessed, expanding our territory dramatically, allowing us to reach many students hungry for the Word of God and the precious truths of the Reformed Faith.
We continue to support three church plants and funding some ministry activities of Child Evangelism Fellowship in Bulgaria. We also continued our involvement in translation, funding the cost of printing the Heidelberg Catechism in Bulgarian and working on a project with Ligonier to facilitate the translation of the English Standard Version (ESV) Study Bible notes into Bulgarian. We also assisted a young Romanian pastor with some educational expenses and continued to support the newly launched Kuyper Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which focuses on engaging university students, professors, and church leaders with a Christian worldview.
Our radio ministry is bearing much fruit, as we continue to work with our partner, Reformation Ministries Network, to install a radio station in Juba, South Sudan. We are also close to installing a radio station in Jacmel on the southern coast of Haiti and have begun talks to install radio stations on the island of St. Vincent, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and in Buenos Aries, Argentina. We continued to record Christian radio content in English that is broadcast on Hope 103.1 FM in St. Georges, Grenada, and will be broadcast on Redeemer Radio from Grace Theological College in South Sudan when it is up and running. We also continue to work on translating English radio content into French in preparation for broadcasting in Haiti.
Additionally, we worked hard this year to redesign our website and hope you are encouraged by a clearer picture of when, what, who, and where God’s redeeming work is being accomplished through our mission.
Finally, the Lord graciously enabled TMI to host our in-person 1st Southeast Europe Reformed Conference in September in Sofia, Bulgaria. We had great participation and wonderful professors on a variety of topics requested by our students from six countries.
All of these accomplishments were made possible only by God’s grace and the generous support of our partners in this ministry. We thank you for your sacrificial giving and trust the Lord for another wonderful year of serving the body of Christ in 2025.
We would love to hear from you!
In Christ,
Chuck Lokey, President
“Christmas means that, through the grace of God and the incarnation, peace with God is available; and if you make peace with God, then you can go out and make peace with everybody else. And the more people who embrace the gospel and do that, the better off the world is. Christmas, therefore, means the increase of peace—both with God and between people—across the face of the world.”
