Prof. Alvidrez taught a full day of sessions to define biblical counseling (what it is), present the methodology through the six key elements of the counseling process (to bring about godly change that pleases God), and present the opportunity to participate in the application of the material taught through a Case Study.

He was able to define the philosophy of the church and structural care needed to shepherd souls as Jesus, our Great Shepherd, wants us to; recognizing that the church is the place where gospel truths bring about transformed lives, and where growth in godliness, for God’s glory and praise, is lived out among His people, lovingly and truthfully, in faith, together.
Questions and discussions were thoughtful and engaging. Prof. Alvidrez and his wife Suana, understood that those present really desire to help people with the problems we all face in life, so the door was open to hearing a biblical view of what that looks like and how appropriate and relative the Bible is today as it speaks deeply to the many things that trouble our hearts and minds. Our focused goal is from the truth that we are born to live with God and for God; to know Him, love Him and through this love of God for us, love others and bring them into a right relationship to God, through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“I do not come to God so that Jesus can give me what I want. But I must come to God so that Jesus will grant me what I need.”
