Reformed Theology

The night I arrived I spoke to around 150 folks on the Holy Spirit's involvement in the Order Salutis, the order of salvation. The next morning, I preached to a similar number. The main class I taught during the week, ranged in number from 15-20.

On Saturday, I taught 10 pastors that were mainly rural mountain pastors on how to share the gospel. Our class was 9:00-11:00 a.m. and the men had already been to an earlier meeting elsewhere before they came to the class I taught. One man from a remote area traveled three hours one way by motorcycle to come to the 2-hour class.

A seminary student asked how to find the work or ministry God has for him to do. I discussed Ephesians 2:10 with him that God has already prepared good works for us to identify and do. He also went out of his way to thank and encourage me in my teaching that he and others received much from.

On the order of salvation or ordo salutis that I had put on the board, one student questioned why I put regeneration before faith and repentance instead of after. I explained the distinction between the Reformed and Arminian teachings for him and elaborated when he asked a similar question the next day. It can take a while for the difference to sink in.

The Central Reformed Evangelical Church Saul pastors in Honduras is presbyterian and is in a network of at least 35 churches that TMI may minister to in the future.  Pastor Saul asked me to consider coming for a month next year to be able to minister to his wider network.
