Phil Schrock recently returned from a two-week trip to India and Vietnam as part of a CMI Teaching Ministry, amidst challenges in both countries and open persecution of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Phil reports. "I had the opportunity to travel to Mumbai and visit this top 10 most populated city in the world with over 25 million inhabitants. I was able to lead the training just outside of the city to approximately 73 Sunday School teachers from Northwest India. This is their first exposure to the materials, and I led through A and B for two days. Most of these participants shared Hindi as their common language. I then traveled to SE India on the Bay of Bengal to Visakhapatnam where I spent two days leading Guides C and D to the Telugu speakers. We had roughly 65 in attendance. I then traveled to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where I participated in Christmas Worship activities at different churches. I made my way almost 6 hours north near the Cambodian border where I was assisted by Bible College students in teaching tribal children about the rich man and Lazarus.
The CMI materials are expanding in India with additional translations in Telugu and new translations in Hindi. Phil is thankful for your prayers and support.
