Dr. Alexander Mercado

Dr. Alexander Mercado is the founding pastor of the Reformed Baptist Church of Salvation and Eternal Life of Baranquilla, Colombia, where he has served since 2004. He is the Director of Church Planting for the Community of Grace Churches in Barranquilla and Cartagena, the Co-founder of both Saint Augustine Seminary (MINTS Columbia) and Reformed Baptist Seminary of Baranquilla, Colombia, and a Member of the National Board of Directors of Seminario Reformado Latinoamericano (SRL). Dr. Mercado holds an accounting degree from University of the Caribbean and worked in public accounting before entering ministry. He received a Master of Theological Studies and a DMin from the Caribbean Bible Institute and teaches in all areas of theology. In partnership with SRL, TMI sent him to teach Intro to the Old Testament in two locations in Cuba and to lecture on various theological topics in Venezuela to 60 pastors.
