Prof. John Burke lived for 22 years in Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Argentina and is fluent in Spanish language and culture. He received a BS in Mathematics from Wheaton College, MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, and MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary Atlanta. He was a professor at Biblical Seminary of Colombia for 11 years and wrote courses on 1 Thessalonians and Introduction to Homiletics for Miami International Seminary (MINTS). He was previously on the pastoral staff, serving as an elder, at Hope Presbyterian Church, Marietta, Georgia and ministered at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Olivos. Prior to entering ministry, Prof Burke was a management consultant, working primarily in Central and South America. He has taught for TMI in Chile, Argentina, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Colombia, and Mexico.
