Rev. Jean Paul was an ordained pastor in the PCA. For almost twenty years he ministered in his native Haiti, starting an orphanage, a clinic, a children’s school, a Bible college to train the next generation of pastors and church leaders in Haiti, and planting multiple churches. Rev. Paul also set the groundwork for creating the first presbyterian denomination in Haiti. TMI was privileged to help start the bible college and support it, providing some of its initial leadership and supporting pastors, including Rev. Paul, to teach in the BDiv curriculum. In 2020, in the increasing violence in his country, Rev. Paul was martyred. We mourn his passing but rejoice that he is at home with his Lord and savior, leaving a legacy that continues in hope.
“God's global aim in creation and redemption is not only the glory of his name, but also the gladness of the peoples.”
