Despite the growing challenges facing Haiti, particularly in the Jacmel region, students at the Reform Theological Academy are persevering in their studies. They hope to complete their curriculum this June with the aim of obtaining their bachelor's degree. However, 13 of the 21 students will continue their studies to obtain a master's degree, as part of a partnership with MINTS TMI.
It was in this context that an intensive week of training was held from March 16 to 20, 2026, focusing on the course MAB512, Acts and the Pauline Epistles. This course aimed to deepen the participants' biblical and theological understanding. Its main objective was to help students understand the Book of Acts within the context of the history of redemption, as well as the theology of the Apostle Paul as expressed in his epistles. It also sought to train students to read, interpret, and teach the Scriptures faithfully in a pastoral and missionary context.

During this week, the course explored, in eight lessons, the progression of the early Church as described in the Book of Acts, as well as the major doctrines found in the Pauline Epistles, such as salvation by grace, justification, and the Christian life in the Spirit. The students particularly appreciated the theological richness and practical relevance of the content, which connects biblical doctrine to the current needs of the Church. The active participation of the students, especially Yramy DERISIER who taught respectively lessons 5 and Jaurel DEROLUS the lesson 7, with seriousness and commitment, deserves special mention.

“Faith begins with a backward look at the cross, but it lives with a forward look at the promises.”
