In the field: Buenos Aires

In December, I expressed gratitude in the Centro Kuyper community for all that God had done in 2025 in Buenos Aires and beyond. He brought this learning community together to pioneer a new kind of ministry in our region; providing abundant grace to think and serve together as God opened new ministry opportunities locally and internationally in Central America. In 2026, Lord willing, we will continue existing programs and create new programs (described below) as well as co-host a conference in Chile.

Reaching out. Pastors in Nicaragua are asking what Centro Kuyper will teach this year. Online, we engage participants in several countries, and they also want more Center ministry. We taught two online series about Old Testament wisdom and an introduction to Neo-Calvinism, as well as other topics online and in-person. Later this year Iván Tomassini, our Academic Coordinator, will travel to El Salvador for teaching. He will also go to Mexico to attend a Neo-Calvinism conference and co-host a conference with a local partner. Iván will participate in an Abraham Kuyper conference in Grand Rapids later in March. So, we have many opportunities to learn and seek collaborators.

Leadership development Investing in future leaders is a priority at Centro Kuyper. In addition to supporting Iván Tomassini (left, in black) who is now working on a doctorate in philosophy and Master of Theology from Westminster Theological Seminary, another of our young leaders, Ezequiel Andrés, has begun a doctorate in history, focusing on Christian missions in Argentina.

Seminars. Richard and Iván regularly offer online seminars that attract participants throughout Central and South America. Richard’s series on the Three-Dimensional Gospel included attendees from Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, and Argentina. Iván’s course on J. H. Bavinck, a Dutch missionary, was the first time this material was offered in Spanish.

Resources. We provide a list of Spanish resources in our website. Because of our teaching trip to Nicaragua last November, we prepared a special interactive list for them. With the use of AI, Spanish audios of Richard’s English language videos are available. Our web site includes materials in Spanish nowhere else available. In August, Richard’s book will be published in Spanish. We encourage you to listen to his interview on the College Faith podcast.
